Podiatrist | Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Caleb Bake, PT, DPT
Dr. Caleb Bake was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and spent his early years in Missouri, California, and Washington before returning to his Idaho roots. What began as a fascination with anatomy and human movement grew into a passion for helping others restore mobility and improve their quality of life. Having personally experienced Sever’s disease as a child, endured more ankle sprains than he'd like to admit, and witnessed his father’s recovery from a complete Achilles tendon rupture, Dr. Bake found himself naturally drawn to the complexities of foot and ankle rehabilitation.
EDUCATION
Dr. Bake earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University–Idaho and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Idaho State University. He also completed an advanced Foot & Ankle Specialization through the Gray Institute, mastering Chain Reaction biomechanics to assess and treat dysfunction through real-life, functional movement strategies.
MEMBERSHIPS
He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Orthopaedics Foot & Ankle Special Interest Group (FASIG), through which he stays connected to a national network of specialists and integrates the latest evidence-based research into his clinical practice. Dr. Bake collaborates closely with Dr. Kovac and Dr. Erickson at Idaho Foot and Ankle Center, offering patients a team-based, results-driven model of care that blends the strengths of physical therapy and podiatric medicine.
FAMILY & HOBBIES
Outside the clinic, Dr. Bake enjoys Idaho’s great outdoors—especially kayaking, fishing, and mountain biking. True to his name, he also loves baking and is on a quest to perfect his homemade pizza dough. He and his wife are the proud parents of three active children who keep them on their toes. Dr. Bake is excited to serve the community as part of the Idaho Foot and Ankle Center team.
