What to Look for in Walking and Running Shoes: Expert Advice From Idaho Falls Podiatrists
Get podiatrist-approved tips on choosing the best walking or running shoes for your foot type and activity level in Idaho Falls.
Read full postPhysical therapy is a non-surgical approach to treating pain, restoring movement, and rebuilding strength after an injury, illness, or procedure. Our therapists treat patients head to toe — back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, foot, and ankle — using hands-on care and personalized exercise programs instead of medication or surgery.
Being part of Idaho Foot & Ankle Center gives our team a depth of lower-extremity expertise you won't find in most general clinics. But you don't need a foot problem to see us.
Whether you're recovering from a knee replacement, managing chronic low back pain, or working through a shoulder injury that won't quit, a structured rehab program makes a real difference in how quickly and completely you heal.

Surgery repairs the structure. Physical therapy restores the function. Without a guided rehab program, patients commonly end up with stiffness, weakness, and compensation patterns that cause new problems down the road.
We work with patients recovering from all types of procedures — knee and hip replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstruction, spinal surgery, and fracture repair — as well as our own surgical patients here at Idaho Foot & Ankle Center.
We'll coordinate directly with your surgeon so your recovery follows their protocol, and we'll tell you honestly where you are in the process at every visit.

Your therapy program starts with a thorough evaluation of your strength, flexibility, range of motion, and how you walk and move. From there, we build a personalized plan designed around your specific condition and goals.

Dr. Caleb Bake was born in Rexburg, Idaho, and spent his early years in Missouri, California, and Washington before returning to his Idaho roots. Having personally experienced Sever’s disease as a child, endured more ankle sprains than he'd like to admit, and witnessed his father’s recovery from a complete Achilles tendon rupture, Dr. Bake found himself naturally drawn to the complexities of foot and ankle rehabilitation.
Born and raised in Riverton, Utah, Dr. Garrett developed a passion for movement and exercise at an early age through years of playing soccer. What began as a love for sports evolved into a fascination with the science of human movement and the body's remarkable ability to heal, adapt, and perform.
