Dr. Chase Leavitt, DPM, AACFAS

Dr. Leavitt’s commitment to podiatry is driven by a unique blend of personal experience and professional passion. As a lifelong type 1 diabetic, he possesses a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges his patients navigate. This perspective inspired him to specialize in foot and ankle surgery, allowing him to bridge the gap between advanced surgical intervention and compassionate, specialized diabetic care. A native of southeastern Idaho, Dr. Leavitt is honored to return home to Idaho Foot and Ankle Centers to serve the community that raised him.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Dr. Leavitt graduated summa cum laude from Southern Utah University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Communication. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with honors from Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, a rigorous, high-volume program spanning a Level I trauma center and two Level II trauma centers. His experience focuses heavily on elective reconstructive surgery, limb salvage, and trauma, complemented by specialized training in arthroscopy and advanced foot and ankle techniques including Total Ankle Replacement surgery.

MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Leavitt is board qualified with the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and is an active member of the Idaho Podiatric Medical Association.

FAMILY & HOBBIES

Dr. Leavitt enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Kellie, and their three children. He stays active in his children’s activities and various community events. Outside of his professional life, he is an avid woodworker and guitar player. He also enjoys getting outdoors to golf, hunt, and fish whenever he can.Dr. Kovac enjoys sports, biking, outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and six children.
