Our Baby's Clubfoot Journey with Idaho Foot & Ankle Center

When Amanda learned at her 20-week ultrasound that her baby had clubfoot, she was told they’d need to travel to Salt Lake for treatment. The thought of making that weekly 3.5-hour drive with a tiny newborn felt overwhelming.

After asking every provider they saw during pregnancy about local options, Amanda’s family was finally referred to Idaho Foot and Ankle Center, where they found a specialist in the method McCoy needed.

In this testimonial, Amanda shares how having a clubfoot specialist right here in Idaho has made the process smoother, more convenient, and far less stressful.

Hi, I’m Amanda. I’m McCoy’s mom, and we’ve been coming to Idaho Foot & Ankle Center for about eight weeks now. We found out he was going to have clubfoot at his 20-week anatomy scan. We were originally referred to Salt Lake, which was very stressful to think about—especially making that long trip with a newborn baby.

We asked almost every doctor we saw throughout my pregnancy about local options, and it was amazing when we finally got a recommendation here. We’re so excited to have a local specialist, and it has been a great experience so far. Having someone nearby who specializes in the method he needed has made all the difference. We haven’t had to make a 3.5-hour drive every week with a tiny baby.

If you have a baby with clubfoot, we strongly recommend looking into Idaho Foot & Ankle Center.
